#32 Steve Hughes

Career Goals = 137
Career Assists = 33
Career Total Points = 170

Parents: Paul and Susan Hughes

Steve (one of only two six year players to be part of the program) will be attending SUNY Cobleskill in pursuit of a career in physical education or physical therapy. He intends to continue the Hughes tradition (set by older brothers Tim and Matt) of playing lacrosse at Cobleskill. His greatest lacrosse memories include scoring his 100th goal (which was the final goal of a six goal effort against Highland), beating Saugerties, and being part of the transition from a Club team to a Varsity program. Steve is currently the all-time leading goal and point scorer of Wallkill Lacrosse. The Wallkill Lacrosse Family wishes him the best.

#9 Andy Delvalle

Career Goals = 4
Career GB’s = 144
Career Assist = 1
Career Forced Turnovers = 34

Parent: Eileen McKenna

Andy (a four season player) will be attending SUNY Cobleskill in pursuit of degree in Math and a minor in Physical Therapy. He has aspirations of becoming a Math teacher along with a high school coach. Two of his greatest lacrosse memories are both of goals that he scored. The first was an improbable full-field heave that crossed the goal line in the final moments of a losing effort against O’Neill. The second, a strong take to the cage after clearing the ball himself against Saugerties during the Senior Game, was a goal that had much more impact on the outcome of the game and helped spark the team to victory. Andy currently holds the record for the most forced turn-overs for Wallkill Lacrosse. The Wallkill Lacrosse Family wishes him the best.

#30 Chris Keller

Career Goals = 29
Career Assists = 24
Career Points = 59

Parents: Chris and Laura Keller

Chris (a four season player) will be attending SUNY Cobleskill in the Natural Science with Pre-Med track for two years and then transferring to either Siena or Cornell. He has aspirations of going to med school and pursuing a career in medicine. His greatest lacrosse memory is beating Saugerties this past season at home 10-5. It should be noted that Chris scored two of Wallkill’s six goals in the 2009 Championship Game. The Wallkill Lacrosse Family wishes him the best.

#20 Devon Smith

Career Goals = 23
Career Assists = 15
Career GB’s = 355
Career Face Off % = 60.8

Parents: Thomas and Kimberly Cardona-Smith

Devon (a four season player) will be attending Plymouth State University in pursuit of a career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. He plans on playing lacrosse at Plymouth along with becoming a member of the Air National Guard. His greatest lacrosse memory is of the battle against Red Hook at Red Hook last year. In a game that went back and forth, Devon and the rest of the Varsity team won this one goal game and locked up their place in the play-offs with the win. Devon is also the all time Ground Ball leader and has taken more Face-offs than any other player for Wallkill Lacrosse. The Wallkill Lacrosse Family wishes him the best.

#27 Justin Grice

Career GB’s = 2

Parent: Lisa Goering

Justin (a 1st year player) will be attending Dutchess County Community College and has aspirations of transferring to a four year college, graduating, and becoming Physical Education Teacher and coach. Despite his late start to the game of lacrosse, he showed some improvement towards the end of the season and will continue to be a fan of the game for the rest of his life. His favorite lacrosse memory was beating Saugerties and his penalty at FDR.  The Wallkill Lacrosse Family wishes him the best.
