Wallkill Lacrosse's inaugural year was the spring of 2001. In that year a few interested players would meet three times a week to learn the game of lacrosse. As a result of the dedication shown by the students involved, the motivation of their parents, the support of the athletic department, and the backing of a school board and community, Wallkill Lacrosse became a varsity program in the spring of 2005.
